My 2015 E350 Sport

I took delivery of my car last May and have put about 5,300 miles on it so far. It has most of the options, including full leather, AMG wheels, wood/leather steering wheel, and LED headlights (which are amazing). The car was in dealer inventory and they were motivated to move it, and I ultimately chose it over the 535i M Sport. It's my second M-B, my first being a 2005 C230 6-Speed manual that I had for 7.5 years.

Overall, I'm happy with the car, but think the transmission could shift smoother. At first, I was only driving in S mode, but some of the shifts were jerky and abrupt, particularly when really getting on the throttle. I then found E mode to provide smoother shifting in more routine driving, but with less responsiveness. After having broken the car in, I think the shifts are generally smoother in S mode now, but overall I think it could be smoother (both low-end upshifts and downshifts) and have more response in E mode. On the test drives, I found the E350 transmission to be smoother than the GS350 F Sport (a really disappointing transmission) and Q70, but not as smooth as the 535i.

I did a 36 month lease, so I'm not married to the car long-term, but thought I'd throw my opinion out there and see if others have similar thoughts/experiences. I have heard that I can see about having the transmission software updated when I go in for Service A. I've attached a few pics of the car.

Awesome car. Congratulations on the purchase. My 2014 car had similar problems. Last month during routine servicing I mentioned to the adviser the issue and asked specifically about a software reset. He came back after a while intrigued and said that there is a TSB. He asked how did I know about it (who told you)? Ha...
Anyway after the software update (had to leave car for a day) the transmission is far smoother. My only regret is not reporting it sooner so that I could have enjoyed it longer.

Congrats, that's definitely a sharp looking car
It's surprising considering number of production of these cars and still receiving complaints about not having the smoothest tranny shifts in comparison with other cars

No ventilation. I think that's only on the E400's.
