1. Transmission shifting hard into 5th and down to 2nd and 3rd.
2. Whistling noise from the front end at 65MPH or above.
During my check in, the advisor said there's an open recall on my car (14 E350 4Matic with 17.5K miles): software update for the power steering. I checked the MB site last week for open recalls and it showed none. The advisor said I wouldn't notice any difference, just an update. So I took this opportunity to ask about map updates. To my surprise, the advisor said the update is free. Naturally, I asked him to add that to the list.
When I picked up my car this afternoon, I was informed my transmission fluid was down about 2 quarts and he was able to top it off at no charge. The tech couldn't find a leak, so it was a mystery to them. Had anyone had this issue?
There was a small update for the nav and I did notice the graphics and displayed info changed slightly.
I did feel the steering feedback is a bit tighter. Not sure if it's my mind playing tricks on me, but perception is reality, right?
I think the tech "taped" some seam in the grill to stop the whistle. I looked for the tape but couldn't find it.
On a side note: I had a 16 E350 for a loaner and I felt the COMAND interface was nicer and the brakes are "grabbier" than my 14.
The bumper has to be removed to glue the grill per the bulletin, I had this done as well
The transmission does shift much better now. I'll have to keep an eye on this over the next 100 days (until my 20K maintenance).

The interesting part is that it doesn't show up when the VIN is typed in at MBUSA web site. Other Campaigns shows zero. I asked if there might be others, and was told no. No mention of any power steering issues (mine is not 4Matic), and not a peep about free Nav upgrade.
