2011 E350 Missing Chrome A/C Button

Anyone have any idea where I can find this particular part. I tried my local dealership and I called a few salvage yards, but no luck.

Thx in advance

I saw a used S63 AMG awhile back that had one of those just laying in the back seat

...on a serious note, I think you have to order that whole module... e.g. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/222065342999?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true

Have you looked all over the car for it? Under the seats? in the ashtray area?

Yeah, I've searched everywhere. I think it fell between the ac unit & the sliding wood ashtray/cupholder cover.

that stinks. well you have to take that apart to replace the unit so might as well get some practice.

Keep looking in ebay for a broken/ non working unit so that you can salvage the part. Good luck.

The whole unit had to be replaced

Same missing part on my car after a long trip. Whole control unit replaced under warranty on my 2013 E350 4Matic.

Control unit part # for your vehicle is 2129004807 however, you should be able to use anyone of the attached #s listed to search for a sacrificial unit if this is your intent.

Probably wouldn't want to, but you could go to auto parts store and get some exterior striping tape and fashion a filler. Comes in a variety of colors and sizes and since it's made for exterior use, very durable.

I have the same exact piece missing on my C207! Were you able to find a replacement piece or did you have to get a salvaged part? I saw a working unit on eBay for $110 but I loath to pay that much for a $1 part.

No I never found a replacement part and just like you, I didn't want to buy the whole unit just for the $1 part.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I might just try what was proposed earlier in the string and make one myself.

Does anyone know if the piece on the passenger side is the same shape ?

I will let you know what I find out.
