W212 NTG4.7 COMAND AUDIO AUX
Hello,
I am thinking of purchasing this adapter for my 2014 W212:

It will allow me to connect an iPhone via HDMI to the COMAND display and mirror my phone to it.
The issue is, if I connect to the iPhone using HDMI, audio will be redirected through HDMI. The Naviks unit isn't capable of doing audio over HDMI (video only).
There are a few options that I think have.
1) Get an HDMI to 3.5mm headphone adapter, and use the AUX in the arm rest -
2) Get some sort of harness adapter for the COMAND unit that has audio AUX output.

Has anyone solved this problem before? I want to avoid cutting into the OEM harness, or splicing if possible. If there are other ways to solve my problem, suggestions are welcome.
