W212 Lighting question
Hey everyone, newbie here so please forgive me if this topic has been discussed. Are the ambient lighting strips under the wood trim in the dash and doors supposed to stay on when the car is turned on, regardless of the headlights being on? I noticed this yesterday (just got the car two weeks ago...) where all the lights were off but the interior ambient lighting was still on. My lighting is set on Auto and ambient lighting to Level 4.
I also had a completely separate issue today: when the automatic lights turned on inside a parking garage, everything but the backlight of my radio came on. I know this is not normal and would love to avoid a trip to the dealer. Any insight to this problem and a fix would be much appreciated!

Congratulations and welcome to the MB world.
Yes, ambient lighting is independent of the headlight function. That looks cool too..
Can you post a picture of your radio problem please. Thanks.
