Sounds to me regardless of the merits of that finance person's arguments OP received some terrible customer service, and that might be the core issue.
I'm on my third Benz purchased from a third dealership and I've experienced excellent customer service at all times from all of them - better customer service than any other product I use outside of maybe American Express.
In any case, it has been reported to the highest ups of the dealership and it has been taken care of. No google review, no yelp review from me, I'm not that type of angry person, a vent on an anonymous forum is enough for me
I was going to suggest you take it up with the higher ups, but it looks like you have already done so, good for you. You did every buyer after you at that dealership a favor, now they don't have to deal that pushy finance manager anymore. Someday, I hope all dealerships will find a way to bypass this most unpleasant part of buying a car. Just let me check off what *** on I want and be one my way, if I want more info on paint protection or rust coating, I will ask for it.
