Has anyone upgraded their interior lighting and license plate light to LED. I have a pre-owned 2010 E-350 Sport Package and would like to do it, but i am concerned about error codes, even on the LED lights that claim "No Error"... Thanks

Thanks my dude, I will look into it. I do have one more question though, do you trust Ebay and Amazon to have quality Canbus LED lights

I cannot speak for my competitors but I will say this... you get what you pay for. There are some units that are bare minimum (LED SMD + resistor), but there are some that pack in more technology. I can say for us, we are always looking to upgrade and improve our product line, typically coming out with new offerings every year or so as LED technology advances.

Ive done mine. Changed everything from footwell to front and rear dome lights to blue led. White led on the glove box, sun visor light and boot. Non of them needs to be canbus iirc. The rear license plate is a different story, its relatively easy to replace but you would need an error free led for em.

cheers guys! its not for everybody but i like it especially at night when you can see the blue light on the footwells.
Pami, the LED courtesy light on the door is a $30/pair and a 2min mod. you can get it on ebay. different styles and designs.
fne2864a, all from ebay, just get the T10 LED wedge, DOES NOT have to be error free as they are not connected to the SAM (somebody pls correct me if im wrong). be aware thought that the ceiling dome lights can only hold short T10 wedge but you can use longer LED wedge blubs on the footwell.
i went through a few sellers on ebay, not that its throwing any errors but some are just brighter than others and coz you will need different length bulbs to get the brightness you want. but for dirt cheap prices for these bulbs, i didnt even think twice. i reckon i have more than 20 spare bulbs in my garage atm. blue green and white.
now the rear license plate NEEDS to be error free, iirc, but the reversing lights for sure has to be.

I have white LED 194 bulbs from Auto zone in my license plate lights, they have a nice white look and not overly bright so they look OEM, They are error free and were pricey at 9.99 a piece, but they are Sylvania Brand so i know they are made with quality. ill be using the same ones in my puddle lights under the door mirrors and start to do them for the interior, they also sell the long tube like ones which are the same price and quality.

I don't post much anymore and normally ignore forum sponsors, but AZN Optics is an exception.
A stand up person who's more of a forum member than just here to make money from a sponsorship. I recently replaced every single bulb on the front end of my car with his products and could not be happier. Don't know why you guys would waste your time with the stuff on Ebay/Amazon.

That looks super easy and cool. One question though. Will we get the theater lighting effect (slow turn on and off) with the LEDs? As far as I know LEDs turn on immediately at full brightness. I like the theater dimming effect as it gives a premium feel to the car. Are they brighter than the dome lights? I know the OEM dome lights are pretty bright.
How much does the kit from precision cost? Do they come with the plastic tools shown in the video?
How much does AZN charge for the kit? Thanks.

Thanks for the advice gents and I will definitely consider your suggestions. I have realized that when it comes to the Benzos, its always good to go with original or quality parts and accessories. Best....
