Designo Matte Finish paint - upkeep???

Arrow Designo Matte Finish paint - upkeep???
Saw a E350 with a designo matte finish paint on it.

Does anybody know:

- is that finish safe to wax?
- run through a soft touch car wash? (just like typical clear coat finishes)
- any other special upkeep?

Yes, it is perfectly ok to wash and wax just like any other car. However if damage occurs, usually the entirety of that part of the car has to be repainted. It cannot simply be color sanded or polished out like a normal car. If this has been done on any other car, it is usually noticeable.

Check out chemical guys. They are top notch detailing supply company. They have specific stuff for matte finish paint.

You cannot wax/polish matte paint. You can buy sealants that maintain the (lack of) gloss.

Car washes are no problem. I miss my matte E550 coupe!

With all due respect... the matte coupe looks plenty nice, but the matte sedan looks better by a country mile.
