Illuminated Star
Everyone,
I searched through this forum but cannot find my answer so wanted to ask.
I have a 2014 Mercedes E350 and the dealership just installed the Illuminated Star Gen2 yesterday. Now, can someone please tell me what tweak can I do to it so that the star comes on when locking/unlocking the door in addition to the engine running. Any help is much appreciated.
Please help and let me know.
Thank you

Here is my aftermarket star that I installed on my w207. I conected it to the parklight so it turns on when I open car and stays on all time when I use the car.

It looks nice. Can you share more information? For example, which wires do I have to disconnect so that I can connect them to the parklights (and which fuse that is)? Thanks

It would be hard to differentiate the aftermarket one compared to the OEM. Which brand did you get, it looks really good.

I bought one as well and not really sure which wire to connect to.
My sedan does not have side markers either...
From memory I have :
Thick Red wire - which is 12v all the time
2 thin yellow wires
Red wire w/Yellow stripe - 12 volt when you unlock, but it also runs a small fan for the lights even after the lights turn off
Thick Brown -maybe ground?
Thick yellow -??
