New E350 owner
It's a 2013 E350
I gave $24,500 for it.
Didn't buy it from a MB dealer but come to find out it is a CPO car fresh off of a lease.
33k miles on the clock.
Still has 15 months of CPO coverage but I can buy the other two years for $1,995 (that's what Jeff quoted me).
I had to choose between a 2012 740i with 56k miles and this E350.
The 740 costs more to insure and was out of warranty so I went with the Merc.
Glad I did.
It just so happened that this car was one the cheapest nationwide on cargurus and it was right in my backyard (The Woodlands, TX)

The only thing I want to add is a little subwoofer: https://www.amazon.com/Rockford-Fosg.../dp/B007AQ2W2Q
But after two days of driving it I'm having issues with the TPMS
Only the rear drivers side tire is OK. All others fluctuate between 29 and 32 PSI.
According to the carfax this car sold and only serviced by MB of North Houston and all service records are up to date so I'm not sure what is going on with it.
Lastly, one of the keys they gave me the car says it is not registered for. Any idea if MB will charge me to program this key to my car? I've heard stories about $300 reprogram costs.
Thanks,
ET

fluctuation is normal as the temperature of the tire changes, I've seen swings as high as 12psi from a cold tire in a 40 degree location to a hot tire in a 105 degree location (long drive).

On key, the battery in the fob may be weak or dying. Can get a replacement battery at almost any drug, grocery, department store for about $3.00. It's in the manual and about the easiest thing you can do on an MB.
Congratualtions on the new car and I highly recommend sitting down with a pen and paper notepad and go through the Operator's Manual, COMAND Manual and Maintenance Manuals. Lots of information in there and often very detailed.
Happy Motoring!

It has 33k miles now so I was under the assumption that it'd be under factory warranty until November 2016.
Add the extra year of CPO warranty takes me to November 2017.
Buying two additional years ELW would take me to November 2019.
Is my thinking correct?
I did not buy the car from a MB dealer but it was a dealer not private individual.

I replaced the battery in the key and the car still doesn't recognize it.
I'll have to take the key in to a MB dealer and get it sorted out.
I agree with RTFM. I don't know how to work the volume from the COMAND center knob so I change stations with the knob but use steering wheel controls to adjust volume.
I'm sure I can do both simply by using the centralized knob.
Great car thus far with great power.
Thanks for the info!

Years ago I traded in a car and left both keys and the valet key with the sales manager who finalized the deal.
A week later, the woman who purchased it asked if I had the second set since it would require programming. I told her it was probably in the sales manager's desk drawer and to call him and make them pay for it if not.

The MB incentives sealed the deal for me at the dealer. With .99% financing, my first payment paid by MBUSA, CPO and 2 years free mait, I couldn't beat it.
As to the TPMS question. To confirm, do we actually have TPMS sensors in the wheels or does the car figure the tire pressure through the ABS sensors like on other cars? I'm getting ready to buy new wheels and need to know if I'm going to have to buy or switch TPMS sensors as well.
Thanks

I like all the options. 2013 was the last year they had bi-xenons, they went to LED and the eco start/stop in 2014. Parktronic, driver assistance package, keyless go, power trunk closer, pano roof, folding rear seats, distronics, those are some of the good options.
Also if you're going to buy an extended warranty or get a longer CPO warranty, have the guys mentioned in the extended warranty forum check out the vin to make sure it qualifies, some people have bought cars where it wasn't eligible because it was a previous CPO.
