Hardwiring radar from overhead light panel (14 e350 sport)
I'm trying to hardwire a radar detector to the overhead light panel. I've noticed that the wires are thinner compared to all hardwiring tutorials done on W212 models. Any idea which wire should I tap into? What is the easiest and cleanest way to hardwire radars? Any input will help. Thanks

on my 2010 model i had to connect it to my glove box 12v plug because none of those wires in overhead console would be 12v nor would turn off whn i shut down the car. you can try , maybe ive missed something. good luck n keep us posted
Thanks for your reply. My model doesnt have the cigarette socket in the glove compartment. I wish it did - it would've made it much easier to connect the radar to it. Still figuring out what to do!
there are some threads and ppl saying that they ran the wire to fuse box on the front drivers side.. do some search , on google.. ull find a lot of useful info.. even on this forum tons of info.
I hardwired my V1 to the headlight switch on the left. Just remove the panel on the side and find the cable that doesn't run electricity when the car is completely off.
