Tire pressure message

Every once in a while I'll get a message on the display after I turn off the ignition that reads "correct tire pressure" and shows the psi in each tire. The psi is within recommended limits. I cannot find this message in the manual.
Is this telling me I should take some action to correct the tire pressure or just letting me know on its own that all is good?

The pressure(s) has fallen below the limit you had set earlier. If it appears that all of the tire pressures are "within limits', they may not be the limit you had previously set. Read your manual and after your tires are filled with the proper air scroll through the display until you get to the tire pressure area. Click on it and then a down arrow comes up I believe. You can then select this new pressure as the set point to eliminate this message. What you see now is a warning message and not an all-is-good message. Mercedes does not fill your screen with happy messages like that

IIRC you get a soft warning that is white font (not red) and it only appears when you turn off the car (instead of don't forget your key). That shows up when pressure in at least 1 tire is 10% lower than the set reference tire pressure value. You get a hard warning (pops up while driving, red front, have to press OK to make it go away) when the pressure drop in at least 1 tire is about 25% from set value.

Like Key suggested, if you are happy with the pressure you have, then just reset the reference values. Keep in mind that the values are set for each tire individually based on the current reading when you reset. The car doesn't know what are correct values are, only the last saved references value so be sure to correct pressure first. To go to that, I think you go to the Serv>Tire Pressure where you can see the readings (not that warning) and then press down arrow and OK to reset like Key said.

Yes, essentially you are restarting the TPMS system will all new values that you have selected from by properly filling the tires.

Thanks, both. I had forgotten about the self-settings.

I have that warning now because evening temps have dropped about 20 degrees and the pressures have dropped about 3psi (~10%). Just refill to whatever you feel comfortable with and reset the TPMS like these guys have said.

I did notice the E550 standard pressures are higher than the E350 I used to have (e.g. ~38f vs ~35f on the 350) and I always kept them around 34 on the 350, which the 550 doesn't like (even after resetting the TPMS), but after resetting it a few times it seems to "learn" what I like and doesn't alert anymore.
