Question Command control knob

Where can I buy a command control knob unit for my 2011 E350 Sedan. I need to replace mine with the 4 year failure issue. Have searched but am unable to locate one.

Unhappy Command control knob

Yes....have read those post and have the video to install......having problems finding one to fit my puppy. Have checked ebay and a number of parts dealers other than my MB dealer. I captured what I thought was the part number off the install video.......did not work.
Anyone have the part number or a part source ?

2048700679 (supposedly the updated and more reliable) or 2048709558 (older version)

its interchangeable with early models of c class.
or if you not sure pry off the square looking trim around the command know and you will see the top of the controller which will have part number right on top.

I would try to fix it. Cheapest is with glue and toothpicks. For under $50 I think there is a part available that stabilizes the shaft. Otherwise I think is over $200. Same amount of work to replace or fix.

Heck at least don't pay full price. Order it from this site, $189.21. Used to be huskerparts.com which had some of the lowest OEM MB prices out there.

Also if you search on ebay with that part number, you might be able to find a used one.

Smile Command Control Knob

OK......Ordered the part today....total was $202 with tax/shipping. I am most happy with the cost. Note that the issue was NOT a broken shaft on knob but something else......so for me a repair was not an option. The forums have been most helpful and I thank all for their inputs.

Note that I used the suggested http://www.mbdirectparts.com

Thanks again..
