wood trip faded
I purchased a CPO E350 bluetec in 2014 and warranty is still valid till next March.
It is in a dealer for leak from oil cooler which is covered by warranty and noticed that wood trip is faded so i asked if they can be replaced...
I was told that CPO warranty doesn't cover wood trim and it would cost $3800 to replace....
Is that true? does anyone run into wood trip fading issue and replaced them under warranty?
Thanks in advance.

so should be good
edit: noticed that the car was bought in 2014 and NOT 2014 year model. lol my bad

FYI:
wood trim 2011-2014 had no UV component in wood varnish.
wood fading is rampant & common - & UGLY!
I replaced front 13 pieces on my 9 year old W212 E Wagon at my cost of $1300 PLUS installation of $600 at my MB Body Shop!
(that’s with a discount of 10% at MB Santa Rosa for the wood!)
FYI: my ‘91 300CE & 2001 EWagon had PERFECT wood when I sold them.
it’s embarrassing - & expensive - to correct MB’s
negligence.
there is a current settlement in which MB
accepts no fault - YEAH, RIGHT!
here is info:
