New 19" OEM wheels for my S212.

New 19" OEM wheels for my S212.
First off, thank you to member "threeMBs" for his guidance with final offsets, spacers, and bolt lengths. I believe myself to be pretty decent with offsets and wheels, but his help was exactly what I needed to get the perfect fit for my new wagon.
Got the brand new 19" x 8" OEM wheels (ET43.5) from my dealer. The prices were actually very reasonable. I considered everything in this price range, from Flow Form HREs, BBS CH-Rs, OZ Superturismos, et al. Nice wheels, all, but in the end I went with an "OEM+" style solution. I'm happy I did.
It's a square setup (245/35/19 Contis), with 15 mm spacers out back (for a final ET of 28.5 on an 8" wide wheel). The fronts will go on in a few days, after I receive them. I will be running a 10 mm spacer (for a final ET of 33.5 on an 8" wide wheel). The rears look perfect, to my eye, and the front will be nice and flush, as soon as I can get the spacers on.
I really like these wheels. To me, they seem like a modern version of an AMG monoblock style wheel. I really like wheels that are both painted, and have machined elements.
Okay, thanks, MBWorld. Cheers.

The wheels are from a GLA 250 and you can get a set for around $1300. The dealer will most likely be around $2000.

Those are remanufactured wheels. That's fine if you're okay with that. I wanted brand new. The price delta wasn't that great. I was surprised.
Thanks for the kind words. The breakdown:
Approximately:
• $1,850 for the wheels
• $900 for the tires, installed at tire shop (not dealer) - Continental ExtremeContact DW 245/35/19
• $250 for H&R spacers front and rear, with H&R bolts
• $0 for center caps (reused originals)
• $20 for OEM valve stem caps -
It's worth noting a couple of things: 1) The spacers aren't absolutely necessary. I wanted my wheels to be flush. The factory ET on these wheels is 43.5, for an 8" wide wheel. The 17s I had before were ET48, on 8" wide wheels. Therefore, these wheels, even without spacers, would've sat 4.5 mm further out than what I originally had. 2) The dealer wanted to charge me "at least" three hours labor just to "program the TPMS sensors." I chuckled and took the new wheels I bought from them straight to my tire guys. Hope this helps.

Thanks.
Thanks, we absolutely love it. It's actually quite muted when you want it to be, and rich and deep when you want it to feel special. The interior is Silk Beige with the burl walnut trim. We did just get some custom dark brown Lloyd Mats, with matching beige vinyl borders. They look great. The beige carpet was a nightmare to keep clean.
So far, the ride is just fine. I suppose it depends on whether one has experience with low profile tires. We are used to much stiffer riding cars, with larger wheels. (While I drive it as much as possible, this will be mainly my wife's car.) Compared to my 911, for example, this car, even on 19s, rides like it's on a cloud (in a good way). The car came on 17" Pirelli all-seasons. They were simply too soft for us. As I mentioned above, these tires and wheels (and spacers) have transformed the car. IMO, the car is now the perfect amount of stiff.

looks great! unusual color. would also love to see interior combo.
question, if you got em bn. why didnt you get the offsets you actually wanted/needed to eliminate use of spacers?

Mercedes doesn't make an 8" wide wheel with aggressive enough offsets, for what I wanted, which was a flush fitment. This way, I have the fitment I want, and I can run a lighter weight square setup. I didn't think having a moderately staggered setup would yield enough of a benefit over a square 245 wide setup, for this car. This is exactly what I wanted. Had I ordered lower-end (meaning FF, and not custom forged) HREs or BBS, I would've run spacers, too.

Okay, man. Even though I thought I explained it pretty clearly here:
Lower-end of BBS/HRE = cast and flow form, "off the rack" wheels, such as FF01, FF15, CH-R, et al. Street prices for a set of four are often $2,000-2,500 a set or so.
Higher-end of BBS/HRE/Forgeline/et al. = custom forged wheels, often two or three piece, with custom offsets, finishes, etc. These custom forged wheels usually cost $6,000-9,000 per set, or even more.

Lol. Go back and read your initial comments. It was you who couldn't comprehend what I had written, and got all hurt about it.
Just stop. No need to swing your post count around. Room enough for everyone here.
Now, if anyone would like to get back to the original discussion....

you actually went deffensive when Diesel2 pointed out how cheap you wheels can be had. You paid retail, now whos fault is that? Lol
I just asked nicely why you didnt get the correct offsets and you came back with ALL CAPS wordings?
Tbh, i was trying to be nice when i said your car looks nice. Truth is, theres a reason why that color is rare. And its not a good one lol
And when did i mention about my post count? Show me again please. Youre too defensive mate. My grandpa would prolly pick that color. Its ugly as hell and makes me cringe averytime i see one on the road. Makes me ask, what the hell was the owner thinking when he bought that car?
Btw, welcome NEWBIE! Now thats swinging post counts.

Ok, I'll let you troll me a little bit more...
You're not right, even in the slightest. That link is for remanufactured wheels. If you're not aware, those are wheels that may have been damaged either only cosmetically, or else structurally, or both, that have been "fixed," often through welding and or patching. That's why they're so cheap. They're what insurance companies use, as replacements when they're repairing a damaged car.
It's fine if that's what someone is looking for. I've definitely considered them, when I have been out to save money. This time, however, I decided to go with new ones for really not that much more. Who got upset then? Certainly not I. I think I paid like $120 more, each, for brand new, never-been-damaged OEM wheels. I'm very pleased with the substantial discount I got, off of retail for these wheels. You seem to misunderstand a lot.
No, you got all hurt when you thought I was putting down HRE and BBS. I was absolutely not. I'm a big supporter and fan of both brands, and have owned several sets. I was referring to the fact that both brands offer a lower-end and a higher-end line of wheels. Again, you fail, hard, at the reading comprehension.
You're a real class act, through and through.
Luckily, my self-worth isn't tied up in what others think about the choices I make, with the vehicles I own.
To each, their own. I happen to feel the brown is very nice. Understated and elegant and different, and at the same time being sporty in its own way. A bit special, in my opinion. I own other cars, some in more subdued colors, and some in brighter and flashier hues. For me, the brown is the perfect color for this wagon, which is our utility/vacation/ski trip car.
Why care so much what color someone else chooses for their car?
Oh, grow the f up. We all have thousands of posts somewhere. Who the f cares? One day, if you ever graduate up to some of the other forums some of us frequent, I hope you're received with more class and manners than you've shown me here.
And... Now I'm done with your trolling. Please refrain from adding more of your BS to this thread.

You sure put a lot of effort with that last reply. Too bad i didnt even bother reading it as i know its all about being defensive and confrontational. Besides its prolly just full of sh*t just like the color of your car. Lol
You can say what you want NEWBIE, bottomline is, im not the one stuck with an ugly colored car with oem wheels that somebody over paid coz obviously knows nothing about aesthetic mods.
Think about it, as you drive your car oh so proudly saying to yourself that you have a lovely looking car, the driver right next to you is saying...that color looks like SH*T! Bwahahah

Damn beejAMG, you as cold as ice
I didn't say i was going to buy them, i was just providing a link for anyone that miight be interested. I like the wheels, a lot actually, thats why i searched for them. They remind me of the optional 19 wheels that are available on 2014-2016 W212s. Enjoy the wheels and the car man, and try not to take things so seriously, especially here, we all try to have a little fun, its no biggy.

I guess it should have read, "That's fine if one is okay with that." Wasn't directed back at you, at all. Just commenting on what those wheels were. People read too much into things. Thanks for the reply.

Wagon looks legit. That brown is awesome.
Don't listen to these haters that are scared of color. I see the high post count as an increased nerd factor.
