Lamp unit is an open system meaning moisture can penetrate however, if condensation does not dissipate after a short period headlamp may be defective if so, warranty covers replacement. Dealer should inspect headlamps and perform a defogging test per bulletin LI82.10-P-050139. Check your PM.

My prior W212 had this issue for about a month after I bought it - it had sat outside in the dealer's holding lot for maybe 10 months (love the leftover stock deals), so not unexpected. After driving it for a few weeks, it went away and never returned.

I agree if it does not go away then it is a defective light.

It's not normal and if it doesn't evaporate out and stay out, can damage the reflective surface inside the housing. That surface is a very thin coat of aluminum and over time, moisture will dull it by promoting oxidation.

+1. My LS460 driver's side did that and the chrome reflector dulled out.
I only had a couple of months left on the warranty so fortunately the dealer replaced the unit. Had to polish the other side real good so it would look as good as the new one.
