Broken front molding - need any special tools?

Hey all - I took my '16 E350 on a road trip over the holiday and cracked open one of the front chrome moldings at a rest stop curb - the front driver side. Part shown here:

Luckily it's cheap about $100. The bumper itself wasn't pushed in and nothing is misaligned, was going sub 5mph and mainly the little chrome thing just cracked open. The other two front molding pieces look fine - it almost looks like they engineered it so if this kinda thing happened only one piece would break. Anyone else as clumsy as me and have this happen? Easy to slide in and fix myself?

I am not a DIY car expert. Just another Benz owner that never looks under his hood. Thanks!

Thank you very much! I appreciate it. I don't have one of those, and not sure of the purpose of a mounting wedge, but I can give it a whirl.

So you don't damage surrounding finish.
