The fine scratches on the Center Console Trim were driving me nuts. I ordered replacements from GenuineMercedesParts.com on 1/15 and they arrived today 1/20. There were only options for these pieces on every website I checked- Burl Walnut, Black Ash, Carbon Fiber/Piano Black, Satin Ash or Aluminum. I ordered the Aluminum since I have the E350 Sport with the "Aluminum" trim. Well...it doesn't match the original piece, but it is actually REAL Brushed Aluminum over ABS instead of the Silver Painted "Aluminum". It definitely has a richer, higher quality feeling over the original but now it doesn't match the Media Knob.
Yes- I tried the Polywatch. The scratches on my original pieces were deep. It looked like someone dragged a vacuum hose across the console. After seeing the new pieces- I would have definitely switched them out. I can't stand the cheap silver plastic.
