0000 steel wool for windshields?
I've heard that 0000 steel wool can be used to thoroughly clean a windshield. Anyone ever try using 0000 steel wool on their windshields! Great results or not? Thanks

I have seen videos of it being used, but true detailers don't recommend it. I would try something like this...

can it take out very small and fine sand like chips on the windshield that accumulated over a long period of time. they are so fine that you can't see it or feel it unless sun shined directly on them...

There has been some controversy on this subject. Fabbrisd1 says MB has a windshield cleaner paste that's not Bon Ami. Stumpie says an MB tech told him they used Bon Ami. I saw Bon Ami used on Motorweek 20+ years ago. I have personally used it and it works. See 3rd post in this attached thread and draw your own conclusions.
