w212 Facelift weak ambitient light system replace?

Hi everyone the thing is that in my w212 facelift i think that the ambitient light is to damn weak Especially after have been in my cousins w213, and now i was wondering if it is possible to perhaps change the LEDs to some who still would work with the settings of color and strength.

Has anyone tried it?

Yeah, but i was wondering if it was possible to make it shine even brighter than now? By replacing LED's or something like that, which still could be controlled by the settings (color and strength)

Car shops that do custom work can do anything if you're willing to pay the price.

I've been wanting to do the same thing.. You can probably replace the led's just a matter of finding where they are

I'm pretty sure they're part of the wood trim, I think Chris the Swede was able to change them to bright blue LEDs or something. Maybe it was someone else.

Maybe its an option in the newer models but i can change my ambient light from amber, white or blue. And it has 5 levels of brightness. I dont even have it on the highest setting and the blue is very bright.

The lighting is supposed to be ambient and subtle , not loud and intrusive, not bother sleeping kids, if you know what I mean. If you like custom flashy lights, that's your call.

I'm sure that picture is just taken with a long shutter speed in low light conditions. Yours could look like that too if you got a tripod in there for long enough.

With the W212 2011 my ambient's are up to level 5, and i agree, still could use 2-3 more levels to get a nicer brightness in the cabin.

This is what i did...

Night time whilst door is open. More subtle when door is closed on only the footwell is lit blue...

Day time, again door is ajar...

i would leave the ambient led alone as its too much work for lil gain.
