lol its only a 250 so its a console shift.
ambient lighting is found running through your front dash and behind the door panels. and ambient lighting is an led strip not an individual bulb.
i reckon its a lot of work to change them but ive seen a guy from the C207 or w209 section change/add ambient to their car. ill post a link if i come across it again.

On my 2010 E550, the ambient lighting is a plastic clear tube, if you follow it to the end, there is a single bulb, this is the case for the under the heat vent on the driver side wood trim. I just took the vent to do some vinyl wrapping and saw this configuration. The the side panels on the doors, i can't be sure.
