AIRBAG QUESTION

Hi, does anyone knows, if i would take the front seat out and unplugged the airbag, and drive it for few days like that. Would the airbag light would go out when i put the seat back in, or the light would have to be reset? Thanks!!!

yes , this way everything should be all good.

my friend unplugged an airbag sensor with the battery still connected in his bmw f10 , now hes gotta go to dealer to reset it lol which will prolly cost him about a 100.

Took bottom front seats out, with battery disconnected. Installed them back in, connected the battery back. Everything went smooth no airbag light on.
Thank you Belarus27
Now i need to figure out how to take off side airbag on the back of the front seats I see there's 2 nuts on it from the inside but its really hard to get to them. looks like plastic on the back of the seat needs to some off first.
Any hints how to do that?

I did both, driver seat was easier than passenger. driver seat only had one wire connection for heated seats. Passenger side had 2 more connections. I think one was airbag and one was Occupancy sensor. Heated seats connection plug is kinda tricky/hard to get apart.
Yes i took the tex out and upholster with 2 tone leather. Love it!!! all i still got to do is the 2 backs of the front seats and 2 front headreast

I would say its harder to take the tex off. Seat is easier to take off.
Why, your tex ripped already?

Ill try my best. first you take off that glove compartment on the front of the seat, 1 bolt on each side of it, i used allen wrench. Then you pull it out its pretty easy. then there's 2 bolts on the front of the seat, if you look under you will see like a round 1/2 inch pipe across and it has 2 metal brackets, take them to bolts out, i used allen wrench on that too,and brackets should fall down, if not just pry the front with the screwdriver, screw is only on the front of the brackets rear is just latched. Then you just pull up on the front of the seat and your seat it out, nothing holds the rear, light on the back will fall off on its own. Then you get the 2 plastic clips off the bottom of the seat that hold wire harness to the seat. The last thing is, you will see only 1 wire plug connected to the seat, that is your heated seat power i guess. To pull that plug you need to pull 2 plugs together, that is right next to each other, that plug is pain in the neck to get out, but im sure u can handle it. after that you can pull your seat up you done.
Now to get your leather part off is tricky too, hard to explain but ill try my best, how i did it.
Lay the seat upside down and you will see its tucked in with a plastic strip sewed in in to the material, its all the way around. I used my hands, kinda try to push down on it from the top and pull it out with your fingers. Try to start on the back corner and work your way around. If you head clicking or poping that means you getting it out. You can use little force on it, i dont think you can hurt it. Once you get that flip your seat up and pull your leather up, now you going to have few blue clips holding the middle part where heating pad is. What i did i used a flat screwdriver and pry the side that have a hook on it, it will come out its very easy but don't pry the straight side that is straight, you might brake it. Just take your sweet time and you will get it out. Before the blue clips you have to get 2 white clips on the outer side of the seat, its pretty much the same way, pry the side that is with a hook on it, only them 2 you have to get in deep down to do it because its like the side that facing down that you have to pry out.
The last thing is heating pad plug, it was a pain in a neck too, its deep inside the cushion.
Don't know if you replacing the whole leather part, because heat pad in sewed in, in to the leather.
To tell you the truth when people bring the ripped bottoms to the dealers to replace the tax, they actually replace the whole seat, i dont think they replace tex only, but i might be mistaking
Ok when you put the seat back in to the car dont worry about the light on the back of it. It goes in last, just push in the front first and then push it up in to the seat.
Well good luck hope all this bad spelling will help you

Instructions on taking the seat out are in this thread:

https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...ml#post6973169

If you have dynamic seats, the instructions mention using a connector to connect the air lines once you cut them to disconnect the seat. I think you're also supposed to disconnect the battery so you don't get air bag warnings when taking it apart.
