W212 - 2013 - Airbag Removal Steering Wheel

Hi,

does anyone knows, have instructions, has pictures on how the remove the airbag from the steering wheel.

I want to replace the silver plastic insert, but before I can do this I will have to remove the airbag.

I have a 2014 and just changed out my steering wheel. There are indentions in the rubber piece behind the steering wheel you need to pierce thru with a sharp object like a thin screw driver push in and it will pop one side of the airbag do the same on other side

Honestly I removed the steering wheel because I went with an AMG one I don't think you need to remove the airbag and if you do disconnect the battery no error messages

Steering wheel will stay, only silver plastic insert needs to be replaced. So I need to remove the airbag, before I can change the plastic insert.
