Hi all,

has anyone got a w212 with the roof bars and bike rack? Preferably someone with the glass roof and sunroof?

I'm a little hesitant in ordering the Thule wingbar ones incase I cant open the sunroof once fitted because on their website it says the sunroof may not open? Long sot but has anyone got them?

I have the regular sun roof and it works with the MB OEM bars. Based upon the location of the mount points I think you should be ok. I would like to know if the Thule bars are quiet as the MB bars are not as quiet as I would have hoped.

I have found the website below which specifically states the merc with panoramic glass roof. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow to make sure before I order.

I was in a merc dealership this afternoon and those MB bars don't look particularly nice in my opinion. They sit too high and look less 'designer' and a little bit more Halfords own brand. I have been told those that the Thule are much better and apparently quieter so I will happily let you know....IF I get them of course.

I have the aeroblade with The 460 or 480r (I can't recall which, but it's from their website). The panoramic roof opens fine with the base rack on.... However, when you mount a cargo box, or accessory that doesn't utilize the t mount and wraps around/graps the bottom of the bar, it is problematic.

I wanted the ones you have shown, however was able to piece together my setup far cheaper via careful use of used pieces/buying/selling/trading.

I have Whispbars and they're awesome. I have a cargo box with it, so I don't open the sunroof.

Hi all,

My roof and bike rack arrived a few days ago and I have just fitted them to the car.

I got the wing bar edge in black plus the pro ride in black to go with the roof and I'm pleased to say the panoramic sunroof still opens with them fitted.

Genuinely happy and will try and post a few pics when I get them time

This is before I added the bike rails. Thule ARB43B rails w/ the 460R feet and no issues w/ pano roof opening. Overall I really like the setup.

I had absolutely no issues
Used the roof all the time too and the bars were great even after 6 years of use.

I sold the car end of last year though and just sold the bars last month.

I no longer have a Mercedes so don't use this site anymore so apologies if I no longer reply
