New-to-me 2014 E550 coupe owner - too quiet

I am now the owner of a black 2014 E550 coupe with 38K miles. Brought it home yesterday. Put about 50 miles on it but it was raining so I really didn't get on it much but when I did the power is awesome! There's no replacement for displacement except more displacement plus a couple turbos that is. Vroom! Vroom!

I do have one common complaint about the 550, its too damn quiet. I don't want Mustang/Camaro loud just a nice low rumble that I can hear. I also don't want to spend big dollars on getting that sound. From the posts I've read the resonator delete doesn't seem to yield much in quest for loudness. I'll keep searching these forums for other cost effective ideas.

Just my opinion, but if you are not going to go for a reputable brand upgraded performance exhaust, you will end up with cabin drone and your beautiful E550 Coupe will sound like crap. I would love to have a car with that kind of power and performance and maintain a reasonable sound level. It's the Ultimate Sleeper.

Not sure of the exhaust config on the coupe, but assume its similar to the sedan. I had my resonators removed and straight piped, and it sounds much better...no drone

Congrats on the new car. There are many members who've done exactly what you're looking to do for a reasonable price. I sometimes wish for the same thing but I don't want it constantly. I saw some options with a shut off button but it seemed pretty pricey to add that feature.

So I just enjoy the 1st drive of the morning when the car isn't totally heated up. It tends to have a nice lil rumble until it's all the way warm Lol. Good luck

AMG mufflers may do it. Magnaflow should as well. Neither will introduce drone, at least they won't on the sedan.

The AMG exhaust is still too quiet - we have to remove our resonators (which sets you back like 150 bucks haha) to make them sounds awesome. As others said, no drone.

I'd look into if that works the same way on your coupes. YMMV
