HELP: Engine mgt fault code 0778 b1 brake solenoid valve
Hi all hope you're all well. I've got a 2012 e220 Cdi sport auto. Engine management light is on. When diagnosed the following is showing,
- 0778 : the internal electrical check of component y3/8y5 (B1 Brake solenoid valve (VGS)) has failed to read and observe repair information)
The car goes into limp mode I think and judders when changing gear, this happens after driving the car after half an hour but when the car is cold it is fine.
Any suggestions welcome
Regards
Azhar

Limp mode
I did a reset by turning everything off in the car and turning the key to on position And steeping in the case paddle for 15 seconds and while stepping in the gas pedal I turned the key back to off release the gas pedal and waiting for 5 minutes not touching nothing in the car and didn’t open the door just chill. After 5 minutes I started it and drove it for about forty shifts and it was fine and my check engine light went off.
still keeping a eye on it but my code was 0778 when I check it & something about brake solenoid I hope this helps it’s been two days and it’s still ok but I’m a keep my eyes open
