10 E550 Quad Tip Install (Help)
Hey MB Ppl , Quick question maybe someone can help me out with. I have a 2010 550 Sport and purchased the AMG add on tips to mount up to the straight pipes(muffler delete) I had put on last week, that sounds great!! The AMG tips are about an inch bigger in width , question is should I just trim the lower defuser about an inch or spend the $350-$450 and get the right one .. Has anyone trimmed or theirs before? Does it look cheap and hacked any pics or link would be appreciated.

i just bought these too and plan on swapping the diffuser all together for a cf one might as well do it right

Just buy that quad look frame that sticks onto the existing tip and save a boat load of dough. It actually doesn't look too damn bad.

Yep , facelift only that Ive seen.

AND FOR OP might be a good idea to buy a diffuser and keep the old one just in case.

I like how none of us remembers who posted about the dremel thing... I remember asking about it and they used the dremel and sanded the remaining down to clean it up, and said that it looks factory now. I'd say if you don't mind cutting it up, go for it. Just clean it up as best you can afterwards.
