electrical gremlin?

This morning I plugged my phone charger into the lighter outlet, started my car and started to drive off. I got about 20 feet and got a chime and warning that my emergency brake was on (I did not put it on last night when I parked). I pulled the release and drove off but noticed a kind of jerk shift from 3rd to 4th. The rough shift was a one time only incident but the economy shutoff also kicked in before the car was fully warmed up (never happened before).
The only thing different from any of the other times driving the car is plugging in the phone, which I haven't had to do before, and it was raining pretty hard on my drive home last night.
Anyy thoughts on what the issue could be? Thanks.

I would see if it happens again. Hard to imagine your phone charger having an effect. E brake is easy to set ever so slightly when getting in or out of car.

Mine does that randomly, it appears that the slightest touch, even if you don't notice it, will cause the alarm to sound, just pull the lever and go. One could ask the dealer to adjust the sensor, but may be more trouble than it is worth. Mine always clears when pulling the lever.
