CPO 2014 Mercedes E350 4Matic (Accident)
The car has been in an accident and the claim was for $15k Canadian. I was very surprised that a vehicle which has been in an accident was offered as a CPO vehicle. I asked them a little more about the accident and the Mercedes dealer told me it was a frontal collision and the front hood and the headlights had to be replaced that’s why it was that expensive. But there was no damage to the frame [suspension of the car]. And the dealer also told me about how it passed a 150 point inspection and is a CPO vehicle.
The dealer was quite upfront about the accident and also told me the car is priced very aggressively because it was in an accident.
CPO 2014 Mercedes E350 4Matic with 60,000km: $36,000 + 5%GST.
That is one of the lowest prices I have seen for a CPO Mercedes anywhere close to my location. The car is completely loaded and has Blind Spot detection, Lane assist, 360 degree camera etc...
Do I have to be vary about purchasing a vehicle which has been in an accident but has been Mercedes Certified? The vehicle still has 1 year balance on factory warranty and 2 years on powertrain and major components because of CPO.
Some advice would be helpful.
Thanks

But $27k for a vehicle with 37k miles is a 'decent' price.
I do want to mention if it only has Blind Spot detection/Lane Assist/360 degree camera, then that is nowhere near "completely loaded". You are missing many essentials such as: Distronic, Keyless Go, Lighting Pkg, Pano Roof, wood steering wheel, ventilated seats, etc.----that would truly make it "completely loaded".
Honestly, if you are looking for a loaded vehicle then (combined with the accident) I wouldn't go with this one.
But as others have said, do your research on the car...and if you can live with the fact it has been in a major frontal accident and it's a base model, then go for it.
