Pre-Facelift center console side wood trim vinyl wrap
I want to vinyl wrap (brushed metal) the center console side wood trims on my 2012 W212 to give it a facelift refreshed look. Does anyone know if those side wood trims can easily be removed/snapped without having to remove the entire console trim?
lift them from the bottom and slightly pull them up( be careful cuz once then snap off , you might scratch your fingers against sharp edges of the inside plastic)
or
use a plastic pry tool , stick it in between the trim and pull it up
Start on the end close to the dash. When you get the front clips undone- there is a tab at the back close to the flip-up doors. You need to GENTLY slide the trim forward and up at the same time.
I replaced the "Stainless" Plastic trim pieces with the Real Brushed Metal pieces.

Great. Seems pretty easy DIY mod for me I'm going to go ahead and order brushed aluminum vinyl wrap from ebay today. If everything goes well, I will post before after pics by next week.
Thanks guys for the info. I really appreciate that.
No problem. Note where the clips are and where the tab inserts into the trim. Also, be careful when prying the trim. It appears to be soft and easily dinged.

Where did you get it from? Can I buy them online? Maybe I should just replace them instead of wrapping if it doesn't cost me a fortune.
Or if 2012 and 2014 side trims are compatible/interchangeable, I can buy your unwanted plastic ones if you sell them to me? What do you say?
