Music register question

My wife has a 2012 e350, and I have a 2011 s550 (my 4th s class). We got the main manual but not the one that covers detail info for the music system for the e350. When I load cd's into the music register of the s class, it's a pretty quick process, but it takes much longer on the newer e350.

Does anyone have an idea why it could be taking so much longer? I can drive 3 miles to the gym and load one in the s550 but can't get close on her car.

COMAND manuals are available here: https://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/only_..._manualsguides

CD's begin playing fairly quickly in my 2012 E Coupe.

I have a 2010 E and it takes me about 20 minutes to record a CD to Music Register, depending on the length of the CD.
It may be taking longer because it has to perform more actions? It has to record the titles of each song, artist and name of the CD, after searching Grace Notes for the info., etc. It also may create a title if one not readily recognized, such as various artists one, etc.
When I first got my car, it was an excellent reason to go out and drive around just to load the Music Register.
Be careful because you can get distracted, particularly if you use the function to name the Folders (CD's) or Files (songs) for ones not in Grace Notes database.
