New tensioner & VVT set on 4Cyl...
Current fault or stored such as pictured?
Bad old cam sensors or oil in harness??
Look at live data: "camshaft position angle" to confirm both (Solenoid + new VVT) are functional.
🤞
Do an oil change with recommended oil grade or thicker... as pressure drives the whole valve timing system.

I am about to give it to maintain, Its not dealership so far. The person who will work on is mechanic. My issue is P001685 camshaft adjuster(VVT) 1st bank (common issue cam intake fails).
Interesting, How to check this ?

Did this get resolved for any of you above? I am thinking it needs STAR to 'calibrate' or reset following cam adjuster swap? My car is running fine with no other alarms but this P001685...
