Cleaning the chrome exhaust ports

What is the best thing to clean the chrome exhaust ports/tips on my 2014 E Class. Was washing the car yesterday and the sheepskin wash mit and car soap don't seem to cut it.

What do you guys use?

I got the turtle Wax's Chrome Polish on the chrome bits, behind the doors:

Without any buffing material, just elbow grease and microfiber towels.
I didn't see any results.

So, don't get that, IMO. I can't help which is good, sorry.

I washed mine with steel wool just fine, but I'm not sure the new tips can withstand it, might scratch up the chrome. Mine were more like a brushed metal, not really chrome.

Simple Green worked just fine for me, followed by metal polish. You can augment the SG with 2000 grit, extra fine steel wool. You can also buy a German, exhaust tip cleaner/polish online (forgot the name) which, in my opinion, is unnecessary.
