It would appear from those photos. My spoiler does not have that carve-out at the Star logo.

Yeah, honestly it's not needed. If it wasn't carved out on mine the MB star would still fit.

Oddly enough the black one does look slightly thicker but maybe it's just the angles. When I looked at 1st I thought it looked a little bigger too but once you said it, I'm thinking I wasn't just bugging out.

Also, when I look at the photo of your lip from above there is a distinct extra line in there, whereas mine is one continuous flat curving piece. That's why I thought yours was higher and beefier. You can see that extra line in the reflection in your top down photo.
