Arrow D6 in hot weather?

Anyone else noticing that their rides are "stuck" in D6 in hot weather? Here in CA we're in the 100's and I'm seeing my E350 stay in D6 for a longer portion of my normal drive where in cooler weather it shifts up to D7.

Not worried, just curious.

Probably has something to do with the ridiculously complex transmission computer that chooses the most optimized gear for the conditions present. I have driven on several 90°+ days and my car has always gone into D7 at highway speed. Do you by chance have it in sport mode?

I have also noted this. I think it may have something to do with all the load-sensing electronics and the added load generated when the air conditioning system is running at near capacity. I do tend to notice that mine will eventually shift to D7, once the interior of the car cools sufficiently for the compressor to cycle on and off normally.
