Yeah, who knows how they got it, either the car got crashed or the dealer order a set but never installed it. I wasn't too worried as paypal is pretty good at protecting the buyer and at least the pictures were legit along with the right part number.

No worries many of us are stuck with the faded wood or forced to pay an arm and a leg. I put in a claim with MBUSA and they said when I bring it in next time they'll look into it but I doubt much good will is going to be given. I assume they'll help me with some of the cost since I've spent a few grand at the dealer out of pocket since taking ownership of my E.

It's mentioned in a few other threads. Only tricky thing is if you have dynamic seats. You have to cut one of the air lines and reconnect it afterwards.

2011 Mercedes-Benz E-350 sport
Is this leather or the MB Tex? A lot of us have this tear in the same spot with the MB Tex. The dealer quoted me about $1200 and for the MB Tex, not real leather
And a private place quoted me $600 for the parts and labor.
On an unrelated note, my back door handle latch mechanism broke and the dealer wants to charge me over $1600 to repair it... I think they are trying to screw me.

2019 Mercedes Benz A220 4 Matic Sedan
Ripped Seats Question…
Hello Everyone!
so happy to have found your thread, as I’m having the same problem with my 2019 MB A220 4Matic Sedan. After only being able to drive it myself for about a year, I had to let my triplet boys borrow it here and there every time one of their vehicles broke down, and for a while there, one of my sons was driving it to work 3 times a week for nearly 6 months. I’m now permanently disabled and also permanently quarantined to my home, and I’m now a chemo patient; however, I love my car. The plan was to trade it in, or sell it after I paid off the lease, which I did over two years ago. It’s worth a lot more than what I paid for it. BUT…. I NEVER in my life ran into a situation like this before where the seats rip! Both driver and passenger! They are bad! I’m so upset! I asked the dealer, and even though it was only two months after my lease warranty, when they would have been covered, they refused to honor cost. They wanted to charge me about $2,700 per seat!!! They said they couldn’t replace just the leather because of all the controls on the seats.
I’ve been trying to look online, several places (EBay, Amazon, Google, Etc…), and can’t seem to match up the interior color. That’s important to me. Maybe if the boys told me the seats were ripping in the beginning, I wouldn’t be in such a mess. The color I’m looking for is: Macchiato Beige. Can anyone please help me, and recommend any suggestions for me? I would greatly appreciate any and all help anyone is willing to share with me.
