I just did a Blackstone Labs oil analysis on the M1 0w40 at 5k mile oil change. Car has 50k miles and I've done the 5k oil changes as you have. Analysis verified what most will say, the oil is barely challenged at that interval. I'm not in the 10k oci camp but just personal preference so I'm moving to 7500 mile oci going forward , my compromise. Additional cost of more frequent changes is a non issue to me.

I buy all of my filters and almost all parts at Rockauto.com. Filter cost is pretty reasonable.
