Hello. This probably is silly question but I cant figure it out on my own please help. My car makes soft chime sound similar to seatbelt warning sound once I get close to where i leave. I assume it is related to Navigation system as there are no warning lights nore it happens anywhere else other then my house. No messages displayed either. I looked at navigation settings and so but cant stop that sound coming.
Any Ideas how to stop it?

If you have the SD card under the Comand unit pushed all the way in, the car will beep when you approach each of your saved destinations. If you don't want it to beep you have to either remove the SD card or just make sure its not pushed all the way in.
Sounds weird, but is true. Had the exact same issue and had to call Benz on the info in car button and have them research the issue. That was the answer I got and it is the only solution they know of. It does work for me.

what if all the saved destination points are deleted?

Card works fine either way. All navigation points work with the card out. I believe it only has to be fully in to save to memory some category of navigation points (don't remember which). Nothing is lost by switching between all the way in and out.

What does the SD card do in reference to navigation and the beeping sound? I am confused on how the three are correlated?

May be they saved POIs in the memory card?

Im not sure what is the relationship between SD card and NAVI as i have music on the card but it worked. I deleted all POI and sound stopped. Weird but they are relate somehow.
