Hit the century mark (miles) in my W212. Great DD urban assault vehicle with really no mechanical issues. No real repairs. I have replaced the motor mounts and of course brake pads and a bent wheel. The car has only visited the dealer on scheduled maintenance dates. Issues: a torn driver's seat in the seam (not fixed yet) and broken center console sliding cover (goodwill fix by dealer, no charge).

Nice! Glad to hear there haven't been any real issues. W212 is on my 'next' list....if my W210 ever goes south, currently at 200,000 miles. Cheers to your next 100,000.

Very nice! These cars like to be driven and not sit around. Glad to see you doing your part! See you at 200K!

The Attention Assist uses a few parameters such as steering wheel inconsistencies to determine if you need a break. One time I was digging for my wallet while driving and was swerving a decent amount and it went off. That was the only time it's alerted me.

Good to hear. Gives me greater confidence that M-B quality is improving and that my S212 will make it that far.
Where do we mount the High Mileage Award badges from MBUSA now? It was easier when the cars had faux radiator grilles.

Congrats on the milestone. 100k is when my extended warranty runs out so I will be sweating in that picture when my time comes. But it is nice to hear that your miles have been relatively trouble free.

I'm fast approaching the century mark on my 2003 E500 (98,850 miles). Worried that I won't be prepared or will forget to check as I get close to the magic number and miss documenting the momentous occasion. Any advice from you guys other than just being diligent as the time gets near.

I checked every morning when I got close like you are and could predict where I would be on the day of when I was going to hit 100,000. Took the pic while driving south to Charlottesville on I-66. (Is that legal?) Don't blow it!

It's actually in the manual about what it does. Basically for the first 15 minutes it learns your driving patterns. Then I guess if you do too many sudden movements which may indicate you're getting drowsy it sounds the alarm.

It is actually pretty sensitive and really works. Mine has tripped numerous times on long drives when I get distracted or drive like a moron. Hmmmm. I need to work on my driving consistency I guess.

Well I used to think attention assist was a joke until it did go off while I was tired during a trip. Then I was like 'how did it know that'. While it has gone off only a handful of times in my case, I feel ashamed to say that most of those happened when I am trying to use my phone while driving on trips. Kind of a good reminder about paying attention to the road - I don't think we notice how much a car can drift while distracted.
This should be a mandated feature on all cars when you consider how many folks drive distracted or, god forbid, impaired and think they aren't going all over the road.
