722.9 problem

Hi.
since 1 year I have a problem with my gearbox.
the dealer has changed the valve plate completely but no difference

2-3, 3-4, 4-5 gear sifting is jerky. Like slipping/holding.
sometimes a lurch when I stop.

Gear change from 3-2 is jerky. Like you push the brake harder.

less power when accelerate from trafficlights. But when you push the pedal hard it goesss..

No faultcodes.

After adaptation it drives good for one day. then it is the same again.

The dealer doesn't know anymore.

Anyone who can help me. Please.

Do some searching on conductor plate replacement. Has the transmission oil been changed in the history of this vehicle?

How many miles are on the vehicle/transmission?

The conductor plate has changed at 118.000km.
now it is on 138.000km. the problem is still there.

I had the problem on 114.000. So on 118.000 the conductor plate has changed. The oil also. And at 114.000km the oil changed for the first time. So within 4000km 2 times oil change and one time conductor plate.

Several times they used xentry to adapt the gears. The first day it is wonderfull. Nice acceleration. Good gear change. And the day after all gear changes are very noticeable.

114k km for 1st service is a lot. Is it 7G or 7G+ transmission?
When troubleshooting those transmission is difficult, proper fluid change proved to be always helpful. Was converter drained during the change?
When you had conductor plate replaced, were new valves put on, or the old ones cleaned?

Reports say dealers don't drain TC.

You replaced just the conductor plate or the complete valve body assembly??? Only the Valve Body assembly comes with new plate and solenoids.

First the dealer has replaced the conductor plate.
then after few months the valve body. Incl. the conductor plate again. So with new valves.

First the fault code was only the conductor plate. But I still had the same problems. After a few months the valve body. Then I did not have any fault codes.. but they advised me to change the valve body.

Is it maybe the torque converter? Is this possible.

Given all work done so far in addition to adaptation did they check for transmission & ECU software updates.

Yes all softwares are up to date.
there are people who says that the tcm software is maybe not the original. But if so, for the dealer it is not a problem to change it I think

If you had a complete VB assembly replaced at the dealer........ I suggest you have the transmission hardware check....

Ok. You mean a mechanical problem?
is it also possible te TC is the problem you think. Or the internal transmission?

I meant transmission internal components. TC? If you can get your hands on Xentry you can turn off TC momentarily to test.

Harsh shifting between many gears and the whole valve body with valves has been changed. Have anybody looked at the hydraulic pressure as it could be the pump failing? I don't think it is the TC myself but it could be, I guess, the failing locking disk of the TC.
