W212 1.8 CGI 184 - P061A error code
Hi,
The error code of my engine is P061A. Could you please advise me what could be wrong?
Problem? Uneven running engine at low revs.
What about MAF sensor ? As far as I know this engine is not equipped with MAF sensor. Is it true ?

The W212 engine does have a maf sensor. I don't know of a modern Mercedes that doesn't. The P0161A code is often triggered by a misfiring cylinder. The transmission control module detects that the engine rpms are not high enough in relation to how far down you are pressing the accelerator. If it's a slight misfire, engine will shaking be more evident at low revs. I would have a diagnosis scan of the cylinders done.

my experience over decades of MAF based european cars, they hardly ever go bad unless something else is seriously wrong, like shorted wiring, bad air filter letting the MAF get fouled, etc.
