What year MB start using the sopt/start control in the E-Class?
I am currently looking for a nice used E-Class convertible between 2010-2014 and was curious when the started using the stop/stop feature?

No AMG unfortunately, and we'll just leave it as that
As far as I know, the AMG W212 E-class got Eco start-stop in MY 2013. The non-AMG E-class got theirs in MY 2014 with the mid-life refresh.

It was on UK cars by at least 2012, well before the facelift.
