Hello!
That's my first post on here since i just picked up my e350 2012 this weekend![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The driver side LED DRL is cracked and needs to be replaced since it's not working either. Its about 100$ used but OEM, or 25$ new from China (not OEM obviously).
I really really dont want to pay 100$ for this part, and seriously considering the Chinese replacement. Has anyone tried it? I searched a lot in the forums and tried to find reviews on Ebay and Amazon, but couldn't find any. I just want to make sure they won't look different in terms of brightness and color (also no errors on dash).
I appreciate any help in advance!
Btw, replacing them myself from the wheel well should be straight forward right?

It will work , but in my opinion if you only change one , the light output colors wont match , and it will be noticeable (led diode quality , technology etc) so if you want chinese go with both left and right, or just buy a used oem and enjoy. Really comes down to money factor

As far as access to it... it requires minimum room to get to it , and if you remove bolts and clips(only really need to get to the bottom of wheel well) it will make it even easier.
great for a first fix

Thanks for replying. I think you are right about the difference in color. I will either change both or get an oem unless someone confirms that they are not different.

Thats good to know, thanks man! You didn't get any errors tho right? And is it lasting long? At this point, if ill have to pay about 50 or 50$, I'd rather pay slightly more for a used one. I think that's the best thing to do.

IMHO, Nothing like this from China would be a good solution. Then again, I don’t think anything from China is a good solution. I would pay the bucks and get a replacement that is properly manufactured and warrantied.

I'll definitely go for the 100$ Ulo OEM part. Used ones are super hard to find, and when found, either defective or more expensive than the surprisingly cheap oem parts on ebay. Between a 60$ Chinese copy for a pair vs 100$ for a new oem left replacement, I'll definitely go for the OEM. Thanks to everyone who helped me take a decision.

For whoever is interested, I purchased the ULO Germany brand from Ebay. It costed me about 100$ with shipping. Pelican Parts has the same exact parts (along with other websites as well) selling for 140-200$. It looks 100% like the one I pulled out of my car. The color and brightness is slightly off because my other fog light is 5 years older, and doesn't look as crisp, but doesn't really ruin the look of the car since it's not very noticeable. It looks exactly like other E classes or C classes that I see on the road, so I'm positive that if you have DRLs in really good conditions, this replacement would be a perfect match. The genuine MB part is twice as expensive and most probably produced by ULO as well.
Regarding removal and installation, I removed the fender liner and used my fingers to unclip the clips that are holding the light. There are 4 clips, 1 in each corner, that are easily accessible, but are a little bit hard to press. Be careful not to break one, I broke the top left clip but the other three are holding the part perfectly.
