looking for front and rear Dash camera

Does anyone know if they make a dash camera front and rear that sends what is being taped to a remote location. I have one that records on a chip that is in the vehicle but that would do me no good if car was stolen and they take the camera out. It the transmission was sent to say my home computer then I would have the information. I think that makes sense. Well if anyone knows of one please let me know thanks.

How would your car send anything via a wifi or cellular connection if it's off when stolen? The camera(s) would need to be in a ready state 24/7 and connected to devices to allow remote data transfer 24/7 as well.
Unless you are the CIA I don't see this type of device available to joe public.

They do made wifi enabled SD cards. https://www.google.com/search?q=wifi...nt=firefox-b-1
Haven't used on myself but you'd need to have the SD card connect to your home network and then have a backup program running on home PC or network storage that copies over the files. You can probably find some good ideas from folks who take a lot of photos and want constant backups.

LOL. so true.

or buy a Tesla - since that car is required to be connected to the interweb at all times. I remember reading the news the other day that a rental car company in Europe that loan/rents out exclusively Tesla. They know exactly where the renters are taking the car at all time. They caugh MB (haha us) rent a Model X and took it to their own track and put it through some rough conditional testing.

On the system I have now the car cameras record for 6 hours after I turn car off. If you open a door or trunk or bump the car it starts recording for another 6 hours. In order to steal the car you have to open something and when you do it is recorder. Not Cia just a good system except it only records on the chip in the car. While on vacation someone scraped the rear bumper. It recorded the car that did it and the police gave the car a ticket for leaving the scene. Nice gadget but I am looking to upgrade.

Just get one of those gps trackers and install it. They are dirt cheap. Sounds like you have a good camera system and it has performed well. Unfortunately, photos of bad guys doing bad things will not insure you get your car back(that’s if you want it back). You see images (video and still) all the time on the news of store/bank robbery suspects, muggers, etc and no one can identify them. I know what you are after here, but it may be very costly and not work. A tracker will unless disabled.

I will look into a tracker. Sounds like a good idea. Just do not want anyone stealing the AAOOGA horn.

Please let me know brand of camera you’re using and where I can purchase, looking for similar products to catch door scratchers. Thanks

Blackvue DR650 has always been the highend benchmark. 1080p has all the features.... record while car in motion, when gets bumped if stationary. Pulls into garage automatically downloads into home PC. mobile apps on the phone access the video...etc.

looks like DR750 is out. you can check out http://www.thedashcamstore.com

Ha! That is exactly why they would want your car. Once they hear that thing, they will not give in until they have it.

I have the blackvue dr650 with the front and rear camera. They do offer cloud services but I think you'll need a connection in the car to actually view and track remotely.
