10.25 inch android headunit installed
i bought tve v2 from aliexpress, figured out most of the tweaks on my own or via forums, but i am not satisfied with the aux jack via mmi audio quality;
i get some white noise, some buzzing, and the v2's balance/fader/equalizer are usless in this regard;
before i was using my apple music subscription via my iphone and tune2air conected through mmi to my ntg4, and the sound quality was excelent.
so my issues are:
1. This unit does not have built in bluetooth output capabilities ( so i can connect to bluetooth mmi adapter).?!
2. Has anyone tryied a groundloop noise isolator for the aux jack to express some quality report ?
3. Has anyone managed to modify the home screen shortcuts besides the navi one?
4. My unit, needs some minutes to show the correct date and time, anyone can relate ?
all in all , i think this unit's capabilities are great, if i can fix the sound quality issue, i would be verry pleased by this ( still am 90% satisfied 😉

-If anyone is interested, mine has 4g capabilities, and works perfect in Romania ( eastern europe )
cheers
The time+date comes from either a GPS signal (so that's the time your units take to get its GPS position) or from a connected smartphone.

Have only tried my Three SIM though, so other providers may or may not work as they use different bands.
Are the two additional antennae on the unit for the mobile signal? If so I will connect those and see if the signal is connected quicker.

From my knwoledge, the 2 antenas are for wi-fi.

"I inserted a UK EE SIM card and it works perfectly. Amazing!! Can even make and receive calls and texts from the unit on its now dedicated number. Many thanks for suppling this great product!!"
These are all of the things that should be in a user manual for this device. Some much information has to be shared via these forums to get the best out of the unit. Its nearly to the point where it doesn't matter where you buy it from as all the info is online and often quicker than asking the re-seller.
On that topic, Chris, I never got any response from the question I asked about getting the restrictions on what OBD2 bluetooth adaptors can be connected to from the unit. Like many Chinese units they restrict what bluetooth names can be connected to. This limits many of the devices. Mine for example presents itself as CBT but this will not show up in the pairing list to be able to connect to and use Torque.
Had a previous stereo with the same issue that I resolved myself, but meant rooting the unit. I'd rather not do that here if I don't need to.
If there is no chance to get the firmware updated, is there at least a known cheap (sub 20 EUR) bluetooth OBD dongle that is known to work.
- Open the Android settings,
- Scroll down to the bottom. Do you have "Developer options" ?
- If not: open the last entry "About device" or something like that,
- Find the "build number" entry and tap on it 5 times.
- A message saying "you're now a developer" should appear. Go back to the settings main menu.
- Open "Developer options",
- Look for "Multi view" (around the middle of the menu) and enable it.
- Now, in the recent app view, each app window will have a new button on the top-right corner, to change its shape: tapping on it opens a menu where you can choose between left-side, right-side, or fullscreen.
Then in there you will see the option to enable multi view. Once this is enabled, when you use the recent apps list you will be able to set whether the app is full screen, or left half or right half.
Chris do you offer this new version?

if some one could tell us about the quality of the audio via that BT, or that USB vs standard jack, that would be awesome...
still, i dont understand why didn't they added a standar BT chip in it like any other cheap tablet....
