Who did you purchase the adapter from, if you don't mind me asking? I am having the same issue. Everything works for me except my knob. If I could get the knob to work. I could switch the unit to Aux.

Mercedes Class V
You could also improve it by adding Apple Carplay to it, here is a good tutorial: https://thecarplayer.com/blogs/news/...rcedes-e-class

Hopefully this helps some people.

Hi,
You have a series of difficult problems.
I am not very familiar with the B class.
I had the problem with the NTG not showing when I first installed and then with audio too.
I remember that one of the two problems was solved by the vendor replacing the unit unde warranty and the second was replaced by a setting in the "factory menu" of the screen which requires that code to open.
The setting needing to be selected was a different choice than what I was thinking it should be.
There are limitations to that generation of these units.
There were two firmware updates.
I decided to do the first one because I thought that the quality of the audio being broadcasted in a phone convo was poor, where the people could not understand what I was saying when I spoke on the phone. I understood clearly what they said.
The first firmware update seemed to resolve this and to give me an amazing quality of audio through the speakers of my car, better than I ever had from the NTG.
But the update caused erratic times of the units boot up. The boot up sometimes took as long as 5 minutes.
This caused me to do the second firmware update.
The second update reduced the boot time but also reduced the phone convo quality.
It was almost like the unit needed more processing power to get everything right.
It seems like the hardware is very good but the software is loose, dirty, and large and needs a lot of resources to run.
Then my reverse camera which was from China stopped working and the manufacturer only kinda knew how to help me fix this. Meaning, they were not entirely sure which of the many cameras on the market would properly fit.
In 2 months and me buying a cheap one that didn't fit, we fixed that too.

Do you guys know of any bluetooth OBDII devices that do not require a pairing code?

This is the one I bought originally but kept coming off.

This is the new one which was a firmer fit and doesn't come off.

UPDATE: Solved my issue
Found this app to pre program pin code for bluetooth connections. Well worth the $1.99 price tag for what I'm trying to accomplish.

I purchased Torque Pro from the play store and here is a screen shot.

Not sure I like the interface of Torque Pro so I will keep searching for one that I like.

Hi, I have this same problem today and your google play store link no longer work. I am trying to pair my OBD via BT to my Android head unit. Can you share more info how you solve the BT connection for me to use my Torque Pro also on the Android screen? Thank you.

these OBD bluetooth adapters work great, and support all the different protocols, including CAN, J1850, etc. I use it with both Torque Pro, and with Forscan Lite (in depth diagnostics for Fords)
