2010 Rearview Camera Upgrade
Hi all. Just got a new (to me) 2010 E350 4Matic from my brother-in-law. 23,000 miles, been serviced regularly by the dealership, and is a cream puff. It is my wife's car. She is 5' 3" and likes to keep the driver's seat rather low so she has trouble backing up (she took the mirror off of my Jaguar a few weeks ago taking it out of the garage!). She is coming from a 2007 CLK which has great visibility. She is not a bad driver but since she got the car it takes her a few minutes to get out of the garage. It is the first car we have with a back up camera.
Now to the question. Is there any way to upgrade the back up camera to include the lines to help know where she is going? I've done a search but didn't get any conclusive answers except to upgrade all of the components. I have an indy mechanic who has access to STAR so he will be doing most of the work for me. Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated.

I am not too good with software, but from what I know, the lines are in software on your command center, who takes signal from wheel turnings sensors.
So if you camera come with no software from factory, your only option would be to upgrade whole command center, what will be pretty costly.
In your/wife case I would rather think about adding 360 cameras and we have forum sponsor giving good discount on them. Would you be in California, he can mount and adjust them for you as well.
