C/E63 Muffler Question

I'm looking to finding mufflers for my car and would like to know what year mufflers I should look for. I realize there will be some fabrication involved either way but wanted to see what the consensus is for the 2014 E550's.
Will the C63 mufflers work as well? From owning a C63 prior to this car I think there are more people changing out exhaust on the C63's than the E63's.

I don't plan on changing out the resonator, at least not at this point. I will start with the muffler and go from there.
Thanks for the input!

I have e63 mufflers off a 15 e63 and they are a direct fit to my 14 550. With the c63 mufflers you'll probably need to need to cut the exhaust tips too make it work. Fitment for c63 mufflers to 550 I cannot confirm.

Thanks for the reply! Yes, I would cut the tips off either the C or E set since I don't plan on modifying the rear valance.
Where did you come across the mufflers, a forum?

Any of the C mufflers or E mufflers from 10-13 will need to have tips cut. I found my set off a member here who was actualy local. Pretty cool. When I was searching, ebay had 2 sets for sale for around the $700 Mark. I got mine for a little less

Does anyone have knowledge of fitting C63 mufflers to the E550? Piping modifications aren't my concern as much as the size of the muffler "can" itself.

Thanks!

Did you ever end up figuring this out? I currently have the option of W204 (6.2L V8) C63 or W205 (4.0L TTV8) C63 mufflers to choose from. Anyone have input on the two or fitment? Thanks!

I ultimately purchased a pair of E63 mufflers off of a 2015. From everything I gathered, the C63 mufflers would work, and sound a bit louder, but I actually got a better deal on the E63 mufflers.

Thanks for the update. From what I've researched it seems like they'll fit. I'll keep everyone updated.
