How do I activate DVD player

not sure what you mean by “activate” the DVD, but you may want to review the manuals, available at MBUSA.COM or your local country site in the owners sections. Have you tried the DVD with a disc that is “known good” for your region? Some DVD’s are region locked. Also, perhaps try an audio CD?
if this is a navigational DVD, then I will pass on answering the question, as I do not know that answer ... again,perhaps try a manual?
