Glad to hear you've been happy with the choice!

Call me a gambler, but I just bought a 2014 E550 last week.... to go with the 2013 I've had for a few years. Let me know if you want to exchange notes

Regarding cylinder scoring... do not follow MB oil change intervals. Do oil changes with MB spec synthetic no more than 5-6K mile intervals.

Definitely hoping to avoid the dreaded 'bore score and seven cylinders ago' haha. The good news is that the 2013 E550 (owned since '19) hasn't been driven hard, lives a pretty easy life and goes ~8k/mi a year at most with an A/B service every ~6mo. Same will be true with the 2014, and the bonus with that one is a powertrain warranty - for a pitiful monthly sum compared to the potential of something like an M278 grenade and peace of mind provided.
